Goodyear is now accepting nominations for its annual North America Highway Hero Award through Nov. 29, 2014. The program honors professional truck drivers who put themselves in harm's way to help others.
To be eligible, candidates must be full-time commercial drivers and must have been on the job or on the way to or from the job at the time of the incident. You can submit your nomination online, or mail it to the Goodyear Highway Hero Award Headquarters. Nomination Criteria and address can be viewed here.
This year's winner will be announced at the Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville. Ivan Vosovic was last year's chosen Highway Hero, after he rescued a driver who fell from a burning tanker truck on the side of a freeway pass. You can read his courageous story on OverdriveOnline.com.
